Max/MSP/Jitter now becomes more and more popular for artists in Taiwan. However, there are few courses offered in schools in Taiwan. I was invited to give a 2-day workshop lecture about the fundamentals of Max/MSP/Jitter by Taipei Digital Arts Center in September 29, 2009. Surprisingly, they were too many people that want to attend the workshop, so DAC decided to hold Max/MSP/Jitter workshop regularly since then. Some of the attendants were even from Kaohsiung and Tainan. Several professors from the field of new media also attended the workshops. Now there are fundamental and advanced two-day workshops offered regularly in DAC.

Chien-Wen Cheng, D.M.A. in Music Composition from the University of North Texas (2007), is an associate professor at National Taipei University of Technology, specializing in interactive computer music. He has won awards like Best Background Music (Moonwhite Film Festival, 2018), NTSO prizes (2011, 2013), and first prize in the 2007 Voices of Change Competition. His works have been featured in ICMC, SEAMUS, and international competitions.
