Chien-Wen Cheng holds DMA in composition from the University of North Texas. As composer, computer musician, audio-visual artist, and programmer, he teaches full-time in the Graduate Institute of Interactive Media Design at National Taipei University of Technology in Taiwan. He is one of the few Asia-based composers whose work and research focus on real-time interactive computer music.
Chrysanthemum in the Rain premiered in Taipei (June 26)
My new interactive music composition Chrysanthemum in the Rain for Marimab and Max/Msp will be premiered by Dr. Ming-Jen Suen in her recital at Shih-Fang Music Theater on June 29, 2013.
